But to transform our overall economy truly, protect our security, and save our planet from the ravages of weather change, we need to make clean ultimately, alternative energy the profitable kind of energy. THEREFORE I ask this Congress to send me legislation that places a market-based cover on carbon pollution and drives the production of more renewable energy in the us.

The President, along with most that try to solve this problem, continue, for me, to miss the big problem. The bulk of our dependence is still oil to gas our automobiles. A couple of, and have been always, an abundance of alternatives to fuel derived from essential oil: hydrogen, biofuels, ethanol, electric battery, etc. The problem has been research.
