Knowing IS Half The Battle

Knowing IS Half The Battle 1

Summer is completely swing. It looks like every short while I’m complaining about how exactly hot it is. Trying to stay cool is almost impossible at times. Not merely is the summer heat uncomfortable, but it also causes my skin to start acting up. I’ve mentioned before about an observation I made a while ago.

I pointed out that people, who typically had clear skin, would experience heightened congestion, oil creation, and breakouts through the summertime. It happens to all or any of us. I love better pores and skin in the fall & winter too. I needed my suspicions as to the reasons it was happening. However now I’ve stumbled on info that points out why our skin’s essential oil production goes haywire in the summertime. The simple reason oily skin is prevalent in the summertime is due to the heat range of the skin we have. In a nutshell, the warmer the skin we have becomes, the greater sebum is released through our skin pores. We know this just because a scholarly research confirmed it.

Basically, they measured the known level of sebum production by skin temperature. They used the forehead as the focus of the study. Half of the subject’s forehead remained at room temperature. The other half was slowly heated or cooled. What they observed is the correlation between skin temperature and sebum production.

The hotter the skin, the greater sebum present. Maybe that must do the with how our skin pores open up slightly in warmer temps. Or maybe the excess temperature “softens” the sebum allowing it to secrete more openly. They are just speculations but we know for a fact that our skin is much more oily if it is hot away.

Knowing is only half the fight. Just what exactly can we do to keep summer oily skin away? The first strategy is to build up skin care program that promotes an all natural matte finish off. We’ve discussed this before. Year No longer can we carry the same skin regimen throughout the entire.

Summer skin is different than winter skin and we must adapt accordingly. Beyond the change in routine, we can leverage the newfound data regarding skin temperature to your advantage. The cool we keep our skin, the better. I’m not a fan of consuming ice cold water but if this means that I could keep my internal temp down, then I’m happy to enjoy cold beverages. Some say that consuming a hot drink on the hot day causes the body to work hard to cool itself down. Nonetheless it will so by leading to you to sweat.

In most situations, sweating is undesirable (unless you’re being energetic) so I’d rather take my chances with cool water which immediately drops your inner (core) temp. The other course of action to help keep up with the proper skin temperature is to cool off using squirt mists. I’m a huge fan for cosmetic mists.

Within seconds I can hydrate and cool the skin at once. Not merely does it established your makeup, the fine water particles can replace the use of perspiration to help cool your skin layer. Heck, you can even keep your facial mist in the refrigerator to create an even greater cooling effect. So long as your skin maintains a desirable temp, you’ll help prevent oil production from increasing. Keep this at heart if in you’re engaging in activities come early july like enjoying lunchtime at an outdoor cafe. If you can keep your skin temp down whenever you can, you doing a best part to keep your oil glands will stay in check. JavaScript happens to be disabled in this browser.
