It’s kind of interesting that few years ago a 90 mile trip was considered to me to be an epic kind of ride and today it is merely an ordinary good weather day trip on the bike. I don’t feel anxious about it and also to be honest don’t even really consider it to be much anymore.
That is precisely what I wanted to occur while i spent the spring, summer and fall a few months this past year doing longer Saturday trips. It had been mainly to change the way I think about them more so than the fitness gains. So after i rolled out today it was just the usual and it was also the usual as it appears for the wind direction.
Yep, my out and back would have some headwind on the way back and affirmed just like last weekend I spent 40 mls of taking a nice thrashing from the blowing wind on the come back. However, today was amazing temp wise the weather. AFTER I started I went with the summer kit only.
The only thing uncomfortable was my fingers were stinging for the first 10 miles, but it appeared to warm-up perfectly within another hour. I saw Keith from my route at about the 40 mile mark and he was along the way back, but I still had a few more to go before my turning point. There was no chance to catch up fighting with those winds.
Big thing on the return was merely to keep a good attitude and this actually was not a problem. I was extremely happy just to be from the bicycle. My focus was simply stretch the miles/saddle time just a bit more and just a few more miles closer to the base of Fort Mountain. It shall not be a long time before the climb is incorporated in to the ride on occasion.

When it is this will be a bit more than 100 miles for the training ride. But I need to keep my TSS (total stress rating) and my IF (strength factor) below 300 so that training on pursuing days will never be impacted adversely. As I approved by the Sosebee Bike Park I noticed some of the NARC friends and then noticed one of my operating buddies, Jamie waving at me therefore i stopped. It had been great to see Jamie out with the combined group plus they acquired just finished their trip.
Unfortunately Jamie shared the news with me that one of our very own, Shelley Chestnut was killed while bicycling in the spaces (Neal’s Gap) last night by a car that lost control. Hearing that news literally harm my center for a moment and the last 6 miles were spent considering Shelly and praying for her family. My continued prayers for her friends and family. This is the fourth cyclist in our area to be killed by a vehicle in the past 4 months roughly.
If you are one of the an incredible number of Americans who are overweight or obese, very good news – your weight loss surgery will be covered by your insurance carrier. The bad information is, of course, that coverage includes many conditions mounted on it. Weight reduction surgery is conducted on very overweight people who can’t seem to lose weight even with a healthy diet and exercise regimen. There are four types of procedures available: adaptable gastric music group, Roux-en-Y gastric bypass, biliopancreatic diversion with a duodenal change and vertical sleeve gastrectomy.
